Falsification of Some Hopes

Once upon a time.....

I had an idol.

I looked upon him,
I valued upon him,
Oh how he held such virtue
Oh how he seemed always true !

Of values he talked.
On ethics he walked.

Once upon a time.......

I had a goddess.

I bowed onto her,
I graced onto her,
Oh how she shone elegance !
Oh how she borne reverence!

In beauty she bathe.
In charm she spoke.

Once upon a time.......

I had a hero.

I wanted to be him,
I rented to be him,
Oh how he burdened such courage !
Oh how he handled those praise !

For dignity he lived.
For freedom he stood.

Once upon a time........

I seem so satisfied.

but look! how am I left now
so faithless and torn;
solely in them for relying upon.

For it seemed so obvious
when I stood too close,
they were all adulterous
they were all morose.

And that's what I found
when I entered to seek-
They all wore mask.
They all were weak.
